Straight Talk is not an independent mobile network operator. Instead, it is a type of carrier called MVNO or mobile virtual network operator. This means that Straight Talk does not run a wireless network of its own. Don’t forget to update straight talk signal before applying any setting.

Instead, it purchases the rights to use the towers from other network providers legally. These network providers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint.

Thus, there are three versions of Straight Talk officially, one for Straight Talk over AT&T, other for Straight Talk over T-Mobile and the last one for Straight Talk over Verizon.
